I hate Chuck and Blair SO MUCH. It makes me very angry the writers are trying to tell this story.  This pairing is against everything I, as a human being, stand for. As a feminist I am aiming (as everyone should be, really) for someone that sees me as his EQUAL. I will never, ever, settle for anything less. Chuck and Blair, at the beginning, I could believe they were equals but they just had gone down a sick and twisted spiral where Chuck just feels entitled to believe Blair is some kind of property. Chuck is a rapist, he has rapist instincts. He tried to rape Jenny and Serena in one episode and didn’t rape them, not because he backed off, NO, but because someone else, thank god, stopped him. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM THAT. He promotes rape culture and that is something I am SO against. I may even believe that Chuck can change in the future, but he has not changed now and he can’t change with Blair. Blair cannot be his savior, she has tried just too many times and always, ALWAYS fails. Chuck is Blair’s project, in a way, and it shouldn’t be that way. You cannot make yourself believe that you have to change your supposedly ”soul mate” in order for him to be your “soul mate” NO… its illogical.

But Dan and Blair, gosh, I don’t believe in perfection but they were SO near. My feminist heart accepts this couple. I started liking this couple ever since the promos for season three where Dan said to Blair: “no headband in college” and I just knew I made the good decision when Dan told Blair: “That Girl is fiercely strong. independent. outspoken. beautiful. capable of anything and no man or magazine should be able to take that away from her.” The moment Dan said that to her I was very happy with this couple. Because he didn’t said: “And not Chuck nor Louis or a magazine should be able to take that away from her” No, he said “No man” including himself, because in his heart he believes the only one that should dictate who Blair Waldorf is, is, to Chuck’s and Louis’ surprise, Blair Waldorf. 

I just had to point this out, I hate Chuck so much. I do not hate the actor, I hate the character. And being handsome is not a redemption. Is not. I will start to  not hate Chuck so much when he changes, for real. In fact, I know which specific event I want for it to happen in order to star Chuck’s redemption. He has to say sorry, a sincere apology to Jenny and Serena for trying to rape them. He never said sorry. That increases my hate for this “man”, I don’t think he even deserves to be called a “man”, when he apologizes to everyone, including Blair, and apologizes for real, he will be worthy of the word “man”.

• Chuck and Blair are very much equals, despite every situation where it seems untrue Chuck does actually have a hell of a lot of respect for Blair, as does Blair for Chuck. Chuck will go out of his way to make Blair feel powerful whenever she feels she can’t do so herself, and when I think of the word equal I think of mutual respect. Chuck and Blair do darling things for one another when they’re in need, doubt themselves, each other and others around them.
• Chuck is not a rapist, he does not have rapist instincts. What he does have is a bad upbringing, rapists do not come from bad upbringings. Sure, everything adds up to make something like a rapist. The problem with Chuck and the reasons he thought he could get women to do whatever he wants is the influence of Bart Bass, his constant company of pretty much every whore in the UES has made Chuck to think it’s okay to objectify women. Chuck is not a rapist, like many wealthy and powerful human beings, Chuck believed money and power could get him whatever he wanted, including sex. He could easily be charged for attempted rape, yes, but he does NOT have the traits of a rapist. The only respect he learned to have for women was from Blair and Lily, notice how he hasn’t tried anything of the sort since those women have been in his life. He needed a good influence and that was all, rapists do not just click out of being rapists.
• Chuck and Blair both manipulated, emotionally tortured, influenced, and bullied one another. Dan Humphrey is the most manipulative and bullying character on the show. The constant judgement towards the UES, his bashing of Serena, Blair and his total disrespect for women (cheating, putting them down) despite having females in his life like a sister and a mother, that is his personality and he has not and never will change.
• Jenny had sex with Chuck, Chuck had sex with Jenny. And I’m sure if the situation were to be brought back up, he’d show the most sincere apology.

PS. Calling yourself a feminist doesn’t make you right in any situation involving men and women, so why you mention it so much I have no idea. 

And, as for Chuck trying to take advantage of Jenny in season one, he did apologize for that.  He also said that he’d move out of Lily’s if Jenny and Dan moved in, because he knew that Jenny didn’t want to be around him.

Chuck has certainly matured throughout the seasons; you can tell, even from the little stuff like that.  Of course, he’s made mistakes, but they all have.
